Mazda goes electric with the MX-30 SUV
With the MX-30, Mazda enters the electric vehicle market. Few technical details are available at the moment, but it is already known that this SUV is equipped with a 35.5 kWh battery that will provide about 124 miles of autonomy.
Mazda has unveiled its first ever 100% electric model at the Tokyo Motor Show. Although already available for pre-order, the Mazda MX-30, a 5-seater SUV, is not expected in the dealership until the fall of 2020. This new model is distinguished by its exclusive system of exclusive doors. use of environmentally friendly materials and a relatively compact battery that is discreet.
Unfortunately, this has the effect of promising a relatively limited autonomy, of the order of 124 miles only. The manufacturer is also still stingy in technical details. Quite right it says that this Mazda MX-30 will have a block of power of 105 kW, the equivalent of 143 hp.

A plug-in hybrid version of the MX-30 is planned
A "First Edition" version is already in pre-order, for 34,400 euros (excluding ecological bonus). Those interested can already book it by paying a deposit of 1,000 euros. As a reminder, this all-electric Mazda MX-30 is a variation of the e-TPV (for "Electric Test Prototype Vehicle"), itself based on the CX-30. A rechargeable hybrid version of the MX-30 could also be marketed by 2021 or 2022.
